The details of the project
The acronym COMeSafety stands for Communications for eSafety. COMeSafety is a Specific Support Action (SSA) of the European Commission within the Sixth Framework Programme priority FP6-2004-IST-4.
The COMeSafety Project is scheduled from 1 January 2006 until 31 December 2009.
COMeSafety acts as a binding link between C2C-CC and the eSafety Forum and provides a platform for consolidation of European and national research projects’ results and for liaison and collaboration with international groups and standardization bodies. It therefore sustains the eSafety Forum.
According to the objectives the COMeSafety project work under the lead of BMW Research and Technology is organised in 3 main work packages:
