Sixth Framework Program

Based on the Treaty establishing the European Union, the Framework Programme has to serve two main strategic objectives:

  • Strengthening the scientific and technological bases of industry and
  • encourage its international competitiveness while promoting research activities in support of other EU policies.

These two objectives are setting the general scene for choosing priorities and instruments.

The COMeSafety Project

The COMeSafety Project supports the eSafety Forum with respect to all issues related to vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communications as the basis for co-operative intelligent road transport systems.

 

COMeSafety provides a platform for both the exchange of information and the presentation of results. Regular electronic newsletters and publications at major conferences and press events complement the dissemination efforts.
