Smart Cities Annual Conference from 5 to 6 June in Budapest
The Smart Cities Stakeholder Platform is dedicated to provide innovative technology solutions for cities supporting them in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhance energy efficiency in intra-urban areas. In the five working groups Energy Efficiency and Buildings, Energy Supply & Networks, Mobility and Transport, Road Map and ICT4 Smart Cities, experts from all around the world are working on developing solutions proposals for smart cities. Smart Cities Stakeholder Platform introduces key technologies for smart cities
As the European Commission has targeted a crucial reduction of greenhouse gas emissions of about 40 per cent until 2020 (compared to 1990), European Cities are required to find innovative solutions to enhance their energy efficiency. The Smart Cities Stakeholder Platform is a European initiative supporting cities to become smart and use new technologies to decrease the environmental load causes by carbon dioxide emissions.

COMeSafety2 organises Special Interest Session at ITS European Congress
As the supportive action COMeSafety2 has just entered its third project year, it is about the time to present and discuss intermediate project results with a wider professional audience. The project members take the ITS European Congress in Dublin (4 to 7 June 2013) as opportunity to reflect their work on deployment preparation in terms of supporting the standardisation activities in the framework of Mandate M/453 and maintaining the international cooperation for harmonising cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems and Services. In a Special Interest Session on Friday, 7 June 2013, 9 to 10.30 a.m., the project members and contributors from the iMobility Support project will discuss the standardisation performed so far by CEN and ETSI, compliance assessment and test methodologies as well as the interregional coordination for deployment efforts.
